“As a County Commissioner, I would work to ensure a high quality of life in our community, which means I would foster vibrant local economies with good jobs here – built on locally owned businesses, farms, new high-tech jobs, and heritage tourism businesses. I would encourage common sense government and an engaged citizenry. I would support alternatives to automobile transportation; protect open space and our rich heritage; insist that infrastructure supports planned development; and base each decision on an underlying commitment to protecting the environment,” states McGinnis. McGinnis has sought opportunities to get involved and help make a positive difference through her work and in her community. She welcomes the chance to devote her time, talent and experience to the needs of Jefferson County and its residents.
