Voting Information
There are two seats open on the County Commission this year. The election for County Commissioner is county-wide. Kit is running to represent the Kabletown District, but voters in the entire county can vote for her.
Democratic Primary — May 13
Democrats and, for the first time, registered Independents can vote in the primary at their regular precincts. Independents will need to request a Democratic ballot to vote for Kit McGinnis. Poll hours are 6:30 am–7:30 pm.
Early Voting
April 23–May 10, at Court House, 120 East Washington Street, Charles Town. Independents will need to request a Democratic ballot to vote for Kit McGinnis.
Absentee ballots by mail
You may request an absentee ballot from February 19 to May 7. Call the County Clerk at 304–728–3246 or write:
